About Camp Willamette...

Camp Willamette is nestled in the quiet woods of the Willamette Valley just South of Portland, Oregon. Surrounded by lakes and walking paths, it is the perfect inspirational spot for my quirky creations. Contrary to popular belief, I do not have a group of campers helping me with my work. All twenty cabins are workshops, except one where I sleep. Here is a picture of the busiest section of Camp...

  • Cabin One: Receiving Dock
  • Cabin Two: Design Studio
  • Cabin Three: Preparation Room
  • Cabin Four: Painting Room
  • Cabin Five: Drying Room
  • Cabin Six: Packaging and Shipping

About the Artist...

While I work, I imagine that I am in the surroundings described above. Even though the truth is far from this vision, it illustrates how I strive to weave whimsy into the everyday fabric of our lives.

Fortunately, I am not an icon of pop culture. An Oregon Native, my name is Dominique Young. While my interest in art covers a wide variety of mediums, fate led me to work with magnets. What began as gifts soon ballooned into a small business and, as word has spread, customers began asking for a website. I'm so excited about my website, which I began in December 2003. I hope you enjoy it!
